Content is the most important part of developing an SEO strategy since it is the
reason people are visiting the website. Google likes the websites that are up to date
with new content posted often. Content is there for your readers as a tool to invite
and then enlight. You should write in the same language as your readers – answering
in a way that predicts their question.
Set your goals
First of all, you should define your goals. You should consider is what you are
looking for driving sales or increasing traffic and return readership.
Your goals will determine the type of content you should be focusing on.
Know your audience
You should have a lot of information about your audience from surveys and analytic
software. That will help you put yourself in their shoes and consider what would
they look for. Think about content that would interest them and visual effects that
would engage them.
Use your goals and your audience to create keywords
SEO content is all about the keywords that point to what your audience cares about.
You should think about the broad search terms. Then consider the questions your
audience might type in Google when searching for the content you are supposed to
provide. Don’t forget to consider variations of those words. Keywords should be
bolded and the most important ones included in the first two passages. The first
sentence should include the most important keyword.
Use an editorial calendar and always have original content
Having a schedule that dictates when you should post new content and what type it
should be is a great help in developing an SEO strategy. This is especially good if
you have a blog where new content is the most important thing.
Google doesn’t like duplicated content because his users don’t like seeing the same
results of a search. Unoriginal content can negatively influence the position of your
website in search engines.
